URGENT: Salmonella Samples
Our new lab has been open for just over 4 months and whilst most clients are now using our new address at Newbridge Scientific, 1 Melville Park, Newbridge Industrial Estate, Clifton Hall Road, EH28 8PJ some samples are still being sent to the old address. We have been making daily runs to collect these samples, however, this will end on March 1st and the old pre-paid envelopes will no longer be accepted by the Royal Mail. Any samples sent to the old Milton address will not be collected, logged, or tested.
To avoid delays and samples not being processed, please check your submission forms before sending samples to make sure that you have the correct address. If you need more submission forms, kits or require pre-paid labels for the new Lab, please contact the Sheriff Hutton branch on sheriffhutton@poultryhealthservices.com or ring us on 01347 820366.

What is Omniclean?
Omniclean is a fast foaming cleaner which is suitable for all areas. It is ideal for the first stage in the cleaning process of animal housing, transportation, hatcheries, and food processing areas, before the final disinfection takes place. Omniclean contains a non-ionic and cationic surfactant that will remove a wide variety of surface debris and soil such as protein, fats and biofilm. Omniclean can be used in conjunction with Omnicide (which we will look at in April’s newsletter) and is effective in hot and cold, soft or hard water. Application is through a foaming lance or knapsack sprayer. To place an order, please contact Paul Mendham (Veterinary Support Officer) on Paul.Mendham@poultryhealthservices.com. This can be a combined order of disinfectant and detergent and water sanitisers. In next month’s newsletter we will be looking at Omnicide, the disinfectant to combine with Omniclean.
