RodentGate Project 2021 – Get involved!

This is a project that starts in autumn 2021 to investigate the role of rodents as reservoirs of pig and poultry diseases, and what might happen under the proposed new stricter European and National regulations on rodenticide use. Using a combination of field data collection and modelling, researchers will look at how ecologically-based rodent control – pest management that uses knowledge of the rodent population to target controls most effectively – can work on farms to limit damage and diseases spread by mice and rats. We are looking for farms with rodent problems that want to participate in this project. Please contact Dr Judy Bettridge from Greenwich University on:  J.M.Bettridge@greenwich.ac.uk stating that you are a Poultry Health Services client if you wish to take part in this research.
