We provide a post-mortem service for deceased birds. Please call your local practice to arrange drop off or postage.
However, flocks must be tested chlamydia negative for this service to be available. This is to protect our staff from potential infection.
The chlamydia test is available through our laboratory service.
In cases where it has not been possible to do a chlamydia test, or where the test is positive, we are able to organise for post-mortems to be performed by the APHA.
